BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon Lenzerheide 2023

Arrival and transport

The event site IBU Open European Championships 2023 is located around the Roland Arena in Lantsch/Lenz.

Public transport included

Travel by public transport from anywhere in Switzerland and the return journey are included free of charge in every event ticket. Due to the generally limited number of parking spaces, travelling by public transport is strongly recommended.

Travel sustainably and conveniently by public transport to the Biathlon World Cup Lenzerheide. Not only will you get to the stadium on time, but you will also help reduce the volume of traffic in the holiday region Lenzerheide.

Travel by train to Chur or on to Tiefencastel. Change to the Postbus in Chur or Tiefencastel - it will take you directly to the biathlon terminal (= stop «Lantsch/Lenz, Vischnanca») at the start of the event site. In Chur and Tiefencastel, the short route to the Postbus will be signalled by signs and staff.

Timetable: The regular timetable applies. Transport capacity will be increased to cope with the volume of visitors.

The arrival and return journey by public transport can take place between the 13th and 18th December 2023. The arrival and return journey do not have to take place on the same day as your World Cup visit.

In addition to the one-off arrival journey from any location in Switzerland and the one-off return journey, the multi-day tickets also include all public transport connections in the accommodation perimeter in North and Central Grisons free of charge between 13 and 18 December 2023.

Travellers from Zurich are best advised to take the IC3 train to Chur. The journey can be continued on the opposite platform with the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) to Tiefencastel. From Tiefencastel, continue by postbus to the Biathlon World Cup.

On the four days of the competition ( 14th to 17th December), a biathlon shuttle will run all day between Valbella, Lenzerheide and the biathlon terminal in Latsch/Lenz, every 15 minutes during peak times. This is in addition to the regular public transport timetable. Last evening shuttle connection from the biathlon terminal back to Valbella: departure at 6.27 pm. Later, there are regular public transport connections according to the timetable.

The stop «Lantsch/Lenz, Biathlon Arena» will not be served during the World Cup. Spectators get off at the biathlon terminal (= stop «Lantsch/Lenz, Vischnanca»), where the entrance to the event area is located.

There is no spectator parking directly at the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide (Roland Arena). Due to the generally limited availability of parking spaces, it is strongly recommended to travel by public transport.
